シェパーズパイ- Shepard's pie

欧米の家庭料理の定番です。日本で言ったら肉じゃがかも?
肉、コーン、マッシュポテトの3層で、これ一品でご馳走になるというなんとも手間いらずな料理。


食べるまでにかかる時間:1時間
4人分の材料:
クリームコーン缶200ml
ケチャップ適量
[マッシュポテト]
じゃがいも3個
牛乳大さじ2
塩胡椒
[肉の層]
牛ひき肉200g
ミックスベジタブル1/2カップ
玉ねぎ半分
セロリ1本
コンソメ1個
水1/2カップ
ウスターソース大さじ2
醤油大さじ1
小麦粉大さじ1
タイム、ローズマリー少々

必要な調理器具:
オーブン
蓋つきの耐熱皿、もしくは耐熱皿とアルミホイル

手順1)オーブンを200度にセットして、予熱を始める。

手順2)じゃがいもの皮をむいて、蒸して温かいうちにマッシュする。牛乳と塩胡椒をして、滑らかにする。

手順3)フライパンに油を引いて、野菜を炒める。


手順4)肉を入れて、炒める。

手順5)コンソメ、水、ウスターソース、醤油、ハーブを入れて5分くらい煮込む。

手順6)小麦粉を入れて、ネットリするまで煮る。

手順7)耐熱皿に、肉、コーン缶、マッシュポテトの順に敷き詰めていく。



手順8)蓋をしてオーブンに40分入れる。

チリコンカン- Chilli

カナダに住んでて、チリを食べたことない人っているのかしら?っていうくらい、どこもかしこもチリだらけ。煮込み料理だから手が混んでるのかと思ったら、ズッコケルくらい簡単だった。。。。

職場の持ち寄りランチでは、私が丹精込めて作ったシュウマイよりも、チリに人がたかってた。

食べるまでにかかる時間:煮込む時間抜いたら7分くらい

4人分の材料:
牛ひき肉200g
にんにく2片
玉ねぎ半分
ピーマン1個
コンソメ1−2キューブ
水250gくらい
トマト缶詰250g
煮豆(私は枝豆、黒豆、あずきを使います。マクロビのパワーフード!)
クミン小さじ半分
トマトケチャップ大さじ1
七味唐辛子を少々
チョコレート小さじ1
コーンチップス適量
とろけるチーズ適量

必要な調理器具:


手順1)材料をみじん切りにして、にんにく、肉、玉ねぎ、ピーマンを入れて炒める。

手順2)豆類を投入する。


手順3)トマト缶とケチャップと水、コンソメを入れて煮込む。

手順4)クミンと七味唐辛子を振ってみる。

手順5)チョコレートを投入して、30分くらい煮込む。水がなくなってきたら、足してみる。

Ceviche or Sebiche

Put Gyu no Tataki- Cold Roasted Beef, sliced onions, chopped coriander, and a pinch of salt in a bowl, and squeeze one fresh lime. It makes a beautiful summer salad!

Komeko Men no Chinjao Rosu Nose- BBQ Steak and Veggies on Rice Noodles

I am interested in gluten-free diet just because it's hip!


Ready in: 20 minutes

Ingredients for two:
Rice noodles, I like a spaghetti noodle type.
Vegetables, I usually use whatever I have in my fridge.
Meat
Sesame oil to cook
Coriander, topper
[In a Bowl]
2 tablespoons of soy sauce, make sure it's gluten-free
1 tablespoon of sesame oil
1/2 tablespoon of lemon juice

Step 1: Start boiling water and cook noodle because it will take about 15 minutes. See the label on your noodle package.

Step 2: Cut vegetables and meat into stripes and cook only vegetables in a pan with sesame oil. Place cooked vegetables on a plate.
Cook meat in the same pan. Add vegetables and mix with meat in the pan. No seasoning needed.

Step 3: Place noodles in a plate, and put vegetables and meat onto them.


Step 4: Mix the sauce well in a bowl, and put it over your dish.

Teriyaki Raisu Baga- Rice Burger with Teriyaki Sauce

I was talking to my colleague, who loves BBQs, about a hamburger. I told him that I've never enjoyed it, and don't know how to enjoy it. Maybe it's the bun, or the meat. I don't know....

He said "You can enjoy it with the way you do with other food!"

Why don't I try that! I enjoy rice and soy sauce!

The result....for the first time in my life, I really enjoyed the "burger"!

I used tofu burgers.


Ready in: 15 minutes with cooked rice and burger

Ingredients for two:
2 cups of cooked Sushi rice
2 cooked burgers
1 avocado
2 slices of tomato
some sliced cucumber
1 Nori sheet-cut into 1/4
some salad to go on the side
<Baking Scauce- Prepare in a cup>
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
1 tablespoon of miso, if you have
<BBQ Scauce- Prepare in a cup>
1/4 cups of soy sauce
2 tablespoons of sugar
1 tablespoon of Sake

Step 1: Wet your hands and make 4 flat rice cakes in a round shape. Bake them in a pan.
You may want to wet your spatula before flipping them over.

Step 2: Brush Baking Scauce on top of the rice cake both sides. Bake untill they are golden. Put them aside on a plate.

Step 3: In the same pan, put BBQ Scauce to heat up and coat burgers with the sauce.
Step 4: Place eveything on a plate.

Korokke- Potato Croquettes

In Japan, we have Yoshoku culture. We arrange western food in Japanese style and call it Yoshoku-literally it's western food. It's quite popular!

Ready in: 45 minutes

Ingredients for four:
1/2 chopped onions
A half pound of minced beef or pork
1 garlic clove, chopped
2 potatoes
1 tablespoon of butter
1 cup of milk
1 egg + 1/3 cup of water
Panko (Bread crumbs)
Flour
Salt and pepper
1 cup of vegetable oil

Step 1: Place onions and garlic in the pan and cook it till it gets brown.


Step 2: Add meat and continue to cook.



Step 3: Cook potatoes in a microwave, and peel them. Place them in a bowl with butter and mash them.


 Step 4: Add "Step 2" in the bowl and mix them up. Add milk.

Add salt and pepper
Step 5:  Form them into oval and flat shape.
Make sure they cool down before frying to avoid explosion

Step 6:  Crack egg and add water. In other bowls or plates, put some flour and panko separately.

Step 7: Take a potato ball, put some flour first, dip it in egg mixture, and put some panko.



Step 8: Fry them.

Niku Jyaga- Potato and Pork Stew

Who doesn't like Niku Jyaga!?



You can make it without meat.



Ready in: 15 minutes

Ingredients for two:
1 onion, sliced
30g of sliced pork or ground pork
1 carrot, cut into cubes
2 potatoes, cut into cubes
2 tablespoons of honey/ maple syrup
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
100ml of chicken broth (100ml of warm water+1 tea spoon of chicken broth powder)
Sesame oil

Step 1: Brown onions with sesame oil.


Step 2: Add pork.

Step 3: Add carrots and potatoes.

I added Konnyaku noodles.
 Step 4: Once they are all mixed, add honey, broth and soy sauce. Cook till carrots get soft.

Step 5: Voila!
