 Sour food keeps you energetic in summer!

Did you know that you can deep fry food with only ¼ cup of oil?

Ready in: 45 minutes

Ingredients for two:
Any veggies in your fridge such as mushrooms, onions, peppers, and carrots
(You can also try some Chinese vegetables such as lily bulbs and bamboo shoot. They are usually in a can.)
1 tablespoon of potato starch+3 tablespoons of water to thicken the sauce at the end
2 tablespoons of potato starch for meat before frying it
¼ cup of oil for deep fry
<Pork Marinade - Prepare the following in a container with a lid>
200g of pork/chicken/beef, cut in cubes
5 tablespoons of soy sauce
1 tablespoon of minced ginger
2 tablespoons of sake or white wine
 <Sauce-Prepare the following in a cup>
2 tablespoons of white vinegar
2 tablespoons of sake or white wine
1 tablespoon of chicken stock powder+2 tablespoons of water
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
2 tablespoons of sugar

Step 1: Marinate meat more than a half hour in the fridge. Take it out and coat it with potato starch.
Step 2: Deep fry meat, and put it in a plate.
<Tip> Make sure you make it crunchy!

Step 3: Cut veggies in cubes. If you have carrots, soften them in advance.
Step 4: In a pan, fry veggies in a high heat.
<Tip> Make sure you don’t cook them too well.

 Step 5: Add sauce in a pan, and lower the heat to the middle.

Step 6: When the sauce is coated the veggies, add meat and mix it well.
Step 7: Immediately after you add meat, add potato starch mix by making a circle on the top. Turn the heat off. Keep stirring until the sauce gets thicken.
